Pacific Northwest Institute
In light of the teacher’s strike in Washington, this event has been Postponed – new dates TBD
About The Training
Dear Two-Way Bilingual Immersion/Dual Language Colleagues,
The Association of Two-Way & Dual Language Education (ATDLE) is excited to return to the Pacific Northwest and continue in our quest to bring excellent teacher and administrator training opportunities to Two-Way Bilingual Immersion and Dual Language Programs throughout the states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Utah, and California. We are thrilled to continue our work with this powerful network of Two-Way & Dual Language educators and we cordially invite you join us at this year’s Pacific NW Dual Language Institute. In light of the teachers’ strike in Washington, as of 9/6/18, we have decided to postpone our original October dates and will reschedule to new dates to be determined.
ATDLE works throughout the U.S. in an effort to keep TWBI/DL educators up to date on best practices in TWBI educational research, methodology and program implementation. We plan to include TWBI Program experts to share their knowledge of effective teaching practices and methodology for TWBI/DL teachers. We have also invited TWBI Administrative experts to work with TWB/DL program principals and coordinators. So don’t wait, register asap.
This two-day institute costs $375 and includes:
- A Friday Evening Reception & Special Speaker (4:00 – 6:30 pm)
- Keynote Speaker on Saturday morning after breakfast/coffee
- Foundations of Two-Way & Dual Language Programs
- How to prepare yourself, your classroom, & your community for a powerful second language learning experience this year
- Practical tips for scheduling, curriculum, classroom design, etc.
- Networking opportunities with other TWBI/DI teachers and principals from local school districts
- Job-Alike tables and discussions
- Delicious lunch
- And so much more!
Please know that registration will be limited to the first 300 applicants so please do not hesitate to register yourself and your team today!
Please note that Vancouver, Washington is a mere 15 minutes north of the Portland International Airport (not Canada). Please use Portland International Airport (PDX) if you are flying in for this event as it services the major metropolitan areas of Washington.
See you in October and until then, best wishes for a successful start of the new school year!
Rosa G. Molina, Executive Director ATDLE
