Veronika Lopez-Mendez has been in the educational field since 1995. She holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree from San Diego State University and Administrators Credential from the University of San Diego. Currently, she is the Director of Dual Language Programs for San Diego Unified School District. She has served as a site principal at schools with Developmental Bilingual Programs, One-Way Immersion and Two-Way Immersion programs. In her current role, she oversees the implementation of 25 Dual Language programs as well as secondary World Language pathways in SDUSD. Veronika has extensive experience implementing, Response to Intervention within a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, providing technical assistance to Two-Way and One Way Immersion as well as Developmental Bilingual programs. Her passion is in operationalizing research to support the implementation of Dual Language programs.
