
Join Us for Scaffolding for Language & Content
Most TWBI/Dual Language students are faced with the challenging and exciting task of simultaneously developing a new or limited language and rigorous academic content. It is imperative that students are given the necessary support and sufficient opportunity to meet these challenging objectives. Participants will learn scaffolding strategies that engage students in actively using academic language to interact with their peers in order to articulate their thinking about academic concepts and topics, therefore encouraging deeper learning, reciprocal teaching, metacognition, and empathy for others.

This is a two-hour, two part series held virtually on February 3 & February 17.
Grades K-2 will join from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Grades 3-8 will join from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
All materials and login information will be sent 3 business days prior to the meeting. This event will not be recorded.
REGISTRATION POLICIES
Payment Policy: This event will be a two-part series held virtually, all funds/final payments must be received by Thursday, February 1, 2024. Only individuals paid in full will be granted access to the Institute. Sessions will not be recorded and no refunds will be provided once part one has started.
We accept payment in the form of a check (made payable to ATDLE), cashier’s check, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express). We know many schools use purchase orders and the confirmation at the end can be turned in for this process. However, using a purchase order is an internal process with your school and we must still receive final payment in way of a check or credit card prior to the conference to be granted access. Please let your agency’s fiscal or business office know that the final payment form is due no later than Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Check Policy: Please include a copy of your registration confirmation with your check payment. All check payments must be received by Thursday, February 1, 2024. Please mail all checks to ATDLE, 7960 Soquel Dr, Ste B112, Aptos, CA 95003. Whether a registrant is paid or not, all registrants must cancel in writing by the cancellation deadline of January 26, 2024 or will be held liable for payment.
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be received in writing by January 26, 2024 and are subject to a $35 administrative fee. Cancellations received in writing by January 26, 2024 will be refunded less a $35 administrative fee. No refunds whatsoever after January 26, 2024. Please send your cancellation request to registration@atdle.org. ALL cancellations must be in writing to registration@atdle.org.
