During our fabulous dual language network visit to Ventura’s secondary programs yesterday we heard from student panels at both the high school and middle school about why they thought being bilingual was so important and how it would help them in the future.
Some of the benefits of bilingualism the students shared with us were,
It helps them:
- get a job,
- assist you at your job,
- better understand others and their cultures,
- develop lifelong friendships across cultures,
- build a bridge between cultures, and
- translate on the spot for people in need.
Below is an article about another benefit of bilingualism.
